The Maroon Film Festival

Held annually in April, the Maroon Film Festival celebrates global cinema that speaks to the enduring values, traditions, and spirit of Indigenous Maroon culture within a modern context.

Set against the rich cultural landscape of Jamaica, the Maroon Film Festival creates a space for locals, independent and international filmmakers and audiences to share bold perspectives, build connections, and celebrate diversity through stories rooted in truth, love and resilience, as we honour the past while imagining new possibilities for the future.
